I am a senior researcher at the Austrian Institute of Economic Research (WIFO). I've been part of the research group on Structural Change and Regional Development since 2012. After studying economics at Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) and at the University of Illinois I was working and teaching as a PhD candidate at WU focusing my research on competition in spatially differentiated markets. Since finishing my PhD at WU I have dedicated my research at WIFO to questions on structural change and economic growth at the regional level as well as to topics on regional competitiveness. Recent research projects focused on evaluating the relation between digitalization and regional development and on the impact of tertiarisation on regional productivity growth.
